Andrew Smith
Store DirectorSwim Teacher
Andrew’s journey into the underwater world began at 16, when he earned his scuba certification at our location in Springfield, Missouri. He’s a former competitive swimmer and lifeguard, and he worked as a swim teacher and deck manager for Diventures in Springfield from 2013-2018.
Andrew’s experience spans far and wide, from guiding divers off the coast of Florida to managing learn-to-swim programs and running a PADI Five Star IDC in Kauai, Hawaii. Now, as a Master Instructor and Store Director, Andrew brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team. He leads our swim and scuba programs in Colorado Springs and is passionate about sharing his love for the water with everyone on the Front Range.

Tia Menosa
Aquatics Experience Lead
Tia is an ocean conservationist and photographer. They have spent many years dedicating their life to teaching people on the importance of saving marine life and water safety. Tia attended college for a degree in Environmental Sustainability and is continuing learning more through fellowships and volunteer work with shark research programs. Teaching has been one of their most favorable career goals. She is deeply passionate about sharing her love for the ocean and swimming, and is dedicated to helping overcome the fear of the oceans in others. Tia chose to work at Diventures because she believes in the message that Diventures spreads to their customers and the ocean conservation this company had done since their years of expansion.
Dani Miskinis

Dani has been diving since 2012 and is a Level 9 diver. After studying Marine Biology in college she moved to Maui to work full-time as a dive instructor, where she got to share her passion for the ocean and introduce her students to all of her fish friends. She moved to Colorado Springs in 2023 and started working at Diventures shortly after. She’s very happy to still be working in the dive industry despite living in a landlocked state!

Brian Hefner

Brian has been diving for four years and has logged more than 150 dives. He always wanted to scuba dive, but never had the opportunity until later in his life. Initially, Brian only wanted to get certified to dive for himself but it wasn’t long until he wanted to share his passion and joy of the underwater world with everyone by becoming an instructor. Brian plans on earning his open water instructor qualification in the next year.

David Moravek

David was first certified in 1993 and his diving intensified after he went to the Great Barrier Reef. Soon after, he went to Mexico and did some cenote diving, and he was introduced to sidemount diving. He then became an XR, SCCR, and a Full-Cave diver. You will find him either at the shop or in Mexico diving in the cave systems. David is currently an Advanced Open Water Instructor, an Assistant Instructor Trainer, and a part-time repair technician. He is also a volunteer diver at the Downtown Denver Aquarium.

David Yuen
Independent Assistant Instructor
David, an Air Force retiree, began his scuba diving odyssey in 2018 while stationed in Korea. His quest for underwater mastery took him to the Philippines for an AOW certification and continued in Colorado Springs, where he’s progressing toward becoming an Instructor. His dive log boasts remarkable locations: the vivid reefs of Cozumel, the diverse waters of Hawaii (Kona and Maui), the clarity of Key West, Florida, and the rich marine habitats of Bohol in the Philippines, along with various local lakes. David’s love for the ocean transcends diving; he maintains a saltwater aquarium at home, bringing a slice of the sea’s splendor into his life.

Howard Stringert
Independent Instructor Trainer
Howard has enjoyed diving in lakes, quarries, rivers, and oceans, having been first certified in Green Bay, WI in 2003. He enjoys teaching all diving and first aid/CPR courses, but he especially enjoys teaching Decompression Theory/Science of Diving, Perfect Buoyancy, Navigation, and Search and Recovery classes. As an instructor trainer, he enjoys fostering the development of dive professionals during Instructor Training Courses, and with Specialty Instructor training seminars. Always curious about the water and what’s in it, he’s an avid fly fisherman as well.
Joey Becerra

Joey’s love of the ocean began 30 years ago when he discovered surfing while living in Southern California. He became a Divemaster for Diventures in 2024 and is pursuing a range of technical and free diving certifications. Joey looks forward to exploring new dive sites and aiding students to experience the joys of diving.
Keith Peterson
Independent Open Water Instructor
Keith started diving in 1982, and has been a professional diver since 2017 with Underwater Connection, (now Diventures). He was a PADI divemaster, an SSI assistant instructor, and has been an SSI open water instructor since 2022. His favorite places to dive are Cozumel, Mexico, and Maui, Hawaii. Other activities include tennis, hiking, geocaching, bicycling, and skiing. The underwater world is something to appreciate and enjoy!

Kevin Simpson
Independent Advanced Open Water Instructor
Kevin became a certified diver during pursuit of his college degree. He reignited his passion for diving in 2006 during a trip to Cozumel. Soon after, Kevin obtained his Master Diver rating while traveling around Thailand. He entered the dive professional realm as a Dive Master in 2015 through a partnership with Underwater Connection and a Public Safety Dive Team. In 2017, Kevin spent two months in Utila, Honduras taking instructor courses while interning with Utila Dive Center. Kevin’s dive history includes 25+ destinations around the globe. In addition to his love for tropical water, Kevin enjoys cold water diving; ice, drysuit, and full face mask.

Margaret Monteleone
Swim Teacher
Margaret has been teaching aquatic programs to all ability levels for 30+ years. More recently, she has focused on coaching and training swimmers at a more competitive level, but still loves to see the beginners succeed in even small ways. In the water since she was a baby herself, Margaret has a passion for all things aquatic, from basic water safety to stroke refinement, and will work with you to define and achieve your goals in the pool!

Melissa Langridge
Independent Open Water Diver Instructor
Melissa has always loved the water and the marine life that call it home. She became certified in 2017 and became an instructor in 2019. She loves to teach in the pool, lakes, quarries and oceans. Melissa can teach 24 specialties, so if there is a specialty anyone would like to become certified in please let us know! It makes Melissa happy to see students grow into comfortable divers. She has been fortunate to have gone diving in Belize, Bonaire, Cozumel and Hawaii to name a few.

For the past ten years Roger has shared his passion for the underwater world with the students he is privileged to work with. His experience includes Extended Range Sidemount Diver, Technical Tri-Mix Diver, Underwater Photo / Video specialist, certified Diventures Trip Leader, and he conducts on-location Photo / Video seminars. He has dove in the Great Lakes, the Florida Keys, the Gulf of Mexico, the Pacific Northwest, Northern California, various Caribbean islands, Hawaii, Cozumel MX, Tulum MX, and Indonesia. His teaching philosophy is summed up in the motto, “Dive Safe, Dive Well!”

Will has been diving for over 40 years and has been teaching SCUBA for 10 years. He enjoys diving on reefs in the Caribbean (especially Roatán) and Pacific islands, as well as wreck diving in the Pacific Ocean and the Great Lakes of North America.
Grace Johnson

Grace has always had a passion for watersports and the ocean, from swimming to diving and learning about the underwater environment. She obtained her Open Water dive certification in 2015 at the age of 12, and her Advanced Open Water certification in 2019. She furthered her diving expertise with specialties in Nitrox and several Marine Ecology courses. Additionally, Grace swam competitively from 2014 to 2017, with her top events being freestyle and breaststroke. She loves teaching students of all ages and skill levels, with a keen eye for technique. Grace hopes to share her passion and knowledge of swimming and all things underwater with her students.
Sage Lepanto

Sage began swimming at the age of 3, taught by her grandmother, and has been passionate about the water ever since. She loves helping children learn how to swim, blending fun with essential water safety skills. As an energetic and enthusiastic teacher, Sage creates an engaging learning environment for swimmers of all ages. She is also lifeguard certified, ensuring a safe and positive experience for everyone.
Fun fact: Sage is inspired by mermaids, and hopes to bring a little magic to each of her swim lessons!
