To remind everyone of the significance of our oceans, we celebrate World Oceans Day on June 8th every year, followed by National Oceans Month throughout June.
World Reef Awareness Day, celebrated on June 1, is a time to raise awareness about the importance of preserving our precious coral reefs.
National Tourism Day is celebrated on May 7th to raise awareness about the importance of tourism and its contributions to the economy.
Who says picking up trash can’t be fun? At Diventures, we make it a priority to be positive advocates for the health of our oceans and waterways. One way we put these words into action is by attending lake cleanups in our communities! Whether we are above or below the surface, we know the importance of keeping our waterways clean for all to enjoy.
Summer was a busy season at our scuba and swim schools! Not only were our pools packed full of new skills and fun, but they were also spent in our community libraries teaching students about water safety and the underwater world.
On Saturday, August 20, 2022, Diventures, along with the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium and Keep Omaha Beautiful sponsored a lake cleanup at Standing Bear Lake. With over 45 people in attendance, this was the biggest cleanup the partnership has seen this season!
Diventures is partnering with Henry Doorly Zoo and Keep Omaha Beautiful this summer to clean up Omaha area lakes, rivers, and streams.
Omaha Public Libraries’ summer reading program has started off with a splash! From now through July 31, children and adults of all ages will have the chance to earn some awesome prizes through the OPL summer reading program.
