We’re located on Hickman Road, not far from the I-80 and I-35 interchange. Our shop has a retail area, travel center, classroom, and a compressor for air fills.

We are so excited to teach divers in central Iowa! Our scuba calendar is live, and you can book your spot online. Courses begin in October with our awesome team of Des Moines area dive instructors.Â
Get scuba certified in Des Moines!
Earn your lifetime certification and get ready for a whole lot of adventure! Diventures instructors make sure every student has the knowledge, skills, equipment, and experience necessary to enjoy the underwater world.Â
Certification has three parts: your Digital Learning materials, Classroom/Pool sessions with our instructors, and four Open Water Training Dives. Students also need to purchase their own Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Boots, Surface Marker Buoy & Reel for training.
Try Scuba intro class
Discover the thrill of diving and experience breathing underwater in a relaxed, no-pressure setting. Our introductory Try Scuba class lasts two hours, starting with a brief overview before immersing you in the pool. All necessary gear is included—just bring your swimsuit and prepare for an unforgettable adventure!
Refresh your skills
Haven’t been scuba diving in a while? If it’s been a year or more, consider a Scuba Skills Update. It’s a great way to refresh your skills with a pro, covering everything from setting up your gear to mastering buoyancy and reviewing emergency procedures.

Meet Rob, Scuba Experience Manager
Rob Fessler has been a driving force in the Midwest diving community for decades. Certified as an Open Water Diver in 1993, he is now a Level 6 diver and a major contributor to growing a vibrant diving community. Over the past few years, Rob has worked his way up the dive pro ranks. He became an Open Water Diver Instructor in 2023 and is passionate about introducing new students to the underwater world. He especially enjoys seeing them experience their very first ocean dive!
