Diventures offers child swimming lessons for all ages, abilities, and skill levels! Our kids classes are kept small and limited to four students per teacher. Learn to swim with Diventures
Whether your child is learning how to swim for the first time or prepping to join the swim team, Diventures has a class to fit their goals!
Level 1 – Beginner
We offer different classes for age 3, ages 4 & 5, and ages 6 to 15.
Level 1 is designed for young and introductory-level swimmers. Safety skills are introduced first and progressively built on in subsequent sessions. Parents can expect to see their swimmer learn how to float on their back, climb in and out of the water, safely go underwater, and swim short to moderate distances independently and efficiently.
Level 1 – Advanced
We offer different classes for age 3, ages 4 & 5, and ages 6 to 15.
Level 1 – Advanced teaches kids how to swim for 20 feet with windmill arms and independent rollovers. This is a common class and excellent at preparing kids to be safe in and around the water.
Level 2
Ages 5-15 years
Level 2 is designed for swimmers who have established confidence and ability in the water and can swim 20 feet independently. Parents can expect to see their swimmer learn how to breathe efficiently while swimming, swim on their back, expand their underwater skills, and learn new skills that will be developed into the four recognized competitive strokes.
Level 3 – Intermediate
Ages 5-15 years
Level 3 is designed for swimmers who can swim 40 feet independently. Classes are divided by skill level and age with consideration given to keeping swimmers in classes with like-aged classmates. Swimmers will learn technical skills and work on endurance so they can swim backstroke and freestyle 25 yards with an attempted flip turn.
Level 3 – Advanced
Ages 5-15 years
Level 3 is designed for swimmers who have endurance and technical skill in the water. Established skills are developed into the recognized competitive strokes. Parents can expect to see their swimmer learn basic stroke drills, flip turns, and how to swim Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly, and the IM.
Swim Team Prep
Ages 6-15 years
Swim Team Prep is designed for swimmers who have established all four competitive strokes and flip turns. We prep students for meets and/or competitive teams by focusing on stroke refinement, technique, speed, and strength across long distances. Parents can expect to see improved times, refined strokes that meet strict competition standards, endurance for the demand of swim team practices, and new team skills.

Kids swimming FAQs
What do I need to bring to the swimming class?
All you need to bring is a bathing suit, towel, and swimming goggles. For children 3 and younger, or those not toilet trained, we require reusable swim diapers. Goggles and reusable swim diapers are available in our retail store.
Is swimming safe for my child?
At Diventures, safety is always our number one priority. Our swim teachers complete rigorous training, including a home study program, an 18-hour training session, and a 32-hour water apprenticeship. We keep our class sizes small and utilize Deck Managers and Lifeguards during peak periods to keep an extra set of eyes on our students.
How old does my child need to be before starting swim lessons?
We have classes designed for any age! Your child can start developing water skills as early as two-months-old.
What if my child is afraid of the water?
No problem! Our teachers are trained to help even the most fearful swimmers. If your child is afraid, let us know! We can help your child feel confident in the pool and keep them feeling safe at all times.
Should my child eat before class?
We recommend that children refrain from eating or drinking for about an hour before class.
